Project Overview
The main activity that Minga supported is the Black, Queer Equity Index (BQEI). It is a qualitative research process that helps to assess equity within non-profit organizations that employ black, queer folks and a tool to provide strategic recommendations for improvement and a “grade” for each organization’s equity and inclusion initiatives. In the pilot phase, they worked with five organizations in Chicago in both the health and social service sectors. To read more about this exciting ongoing initiative and outcomes of the BQEI, please visit the Lighthouse Foundation website. Minga helped to plan and host a Revival fundraising event in 2022 by consulting on event implementation and helping to build local partnerships to execute the event.
